Born out of the debris from Sheffields imploding industry, Factory Act was one of my early attempts to explore my fascination with the decaying industry which was collapsing all over the country due to Thatchers government. This piece incorporated almost imperceptible movement in the coats which were lit by a rescued factory lamp.

It resulted in a bizarre opening where everyone who attended had to enter via a ladder from outside as there were no stairs.
